All our plaques, icons and crosses are made by our workshop here in Athens, Greece. They are hand-carved/finished and it does take a lot of time and effort to produce them. They are not made by some machine in China. We guarantee their quality. They are based on contemporary Byzantine Hagiography and are designed by Monks at Mount Athos.
What makes our icons, plaques and crosses particular unique is their odor! One of the three ingredients they are made of is the incense from Mount Athos. As a result, when you place them on your wall, the spot around will emit a very distinct odor creating an atmosphere similar to an Orthodox Church or to a Monastery! The more you have, or the bigger they are the stronger the odor will be!
We really wish we could transfer this pleasant odor over the internet for you to smell!
No! The odor will never fade. According to the surrounding temperature its level might rise or fall a bit but it will not fade.
No, these plaques are made for indoors use only.
It should not be exposed to direct sunlight and to heat above 50ºC/122.00ºF
At this point we only accept PayPal and direct bank transfer.
PayPal: With PayPal you can pay with your credit card even if you don΄t have a PayPal account. It is really an easy and very safe way to sent payments worldwide.
Direct Bank Transfer: You can make your payment directly into our bank account. Please use your Order ID as the payment reference. Your order won’t be shipped until the funds have cleared in our account (usually 3-6 days). Make sure you check with your bank for potential fees you might be charged.

Yes we can ship to your friend’s address. At ‘Checkout’ you will clearly see an option to ship to a different address if different from the billing address

Under no circumstances your details will be given/sold to other businesses, organizations or even religious institutions. We only send out 2-3 newsletters per month to show you our new products, to inform you about special promotions and to give you discount coupons. Take advantage of it and subscribe now! You can opt out at any time.
No, it is not necessary. However, it is highly advisable to become a member. As a member from your account dashboard you can view your recent orders and manage your shipping and billing addresses without having to enter your details every time you shop from us. Most important, our registered members receive promotional offers and coupons
Occasionally we run special promotions and we offer our members free gifts and discounts. For your order to be eligible for such a promotion you need to apply a coupon at the “Cart” page. Coupons are usually valid for a limited time only and are available to our newsletter subscribers and via our facebook page
Yes we do. When you buy from us you also accept the terms and conditions of our Return Policy which are explained in simple and neat language in our Returns page.
In this case we offer the following solution: For a $15 fee we will ship to you a small icon/plaque via regular mail. It will be a small size of approx 5cm x 7cm (1.96inches x 2.75inches) – or smaller plaque and the design will depend on availability. You must contact us first in order to arrange it. There might be 1-3 different designs and you can choose which one you want. Once you receive it you will be able to tell how the bigger sized plaques/icons feel like. The $15 fee is non-refunded and of course you can keep the item.
Yes we can create plaques, icons, crosses and other subjects from the same materials with the exact same technique. Please note that this is a time-consuming process and we need to know well in advance the details. For additional information and prices please contact us.
